We are pleased to announce the ICHRP Canada Conference & 3rd General Assembly: Resist State Terror, Stand for People’s Rights in the Philippines this May 3-5, 2024 in Montréal, Québec.
The Conference and Assembly will be held at Saint Columba House and feature three keynote speakers as well as panel discussions, workshops, and presentations. Additionally, there will be a pre-conference colloquium in conjunction with the Université dé Montréal on May 2, 2024, held on campus.
Among the topics to be discussed are the Philippine Peace Process, the red-tagging and terror designation of activists and activist groups, as well as practical skills such as solidarity work, organizing exposure trips, fundraising, and political advocacy.
The Conference is an opportunity to seize the moment to collectively educate ourselves on the changing global and domestic context, to assess our strategies over the past 3 years, and to determine our plans to strengthen our solidarity and resistance in the years to come.
We hope you will join us and others passionate about human rights as we lay the groundwork for collective action in our fight for justice.
